Married to: Lana

Lead Pastor at Waypoint Church, Vancouver 2006-2010
Associate Pastor at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Vancouver 2001-2004
Area Director with Young Life, Vancouver 1994-2002

Education:
Associate of Arts in Religious Studies, Prairie Bible Institute1988-1991

Part of Brian’s story:
Years ago in Junior High School I had an experience that has forever shaped me. I was listening one night to a Steve Camp cassette tape called “Shake Me To Wake Me” when it became thunderously apparent that I was, as the song on the tape suggests, “Asleep in the Light.” I decided to act on my new evangelistic awareness slowly. The next morning I’d ask my best friend Greg, whom I walked to school with every day, if he wanted me to explain Christianity to him. Anticipating him to say “No” I figured that I’d soon be off the hook, able to comfortably go back to my bright nap knowing that it wasn’t my fault. People just didn’t care about Jesus! You can imagine what happened next. He said “yes” and responded in faith after my faltering explanation. I immediately began living like everyone was interested in what I believed in. And many have been.
